Chaotic Phoenix
A one-person game studio.
A fortress against the Mongol horde, a pencil race on squared paper, a snake made of numbers, a virus that eats the sun, germs that sneeze, gravity you steer, and a sheep in a mech. Small games with big chaos, made for your phone.
TD Survivor · tower defense
One fortress. 95 towers. The whole horde.
Between the waves, spend your gold on random cards and turn one fortress into a wall of fire, stone, steel, water and wood.
Fire melts Metal, Water puts out Fire, Wood breaks Earth: mix your towers to answer the horde's armor.
Shamans heal the riders round them with their dying breath.
After 30 waves the Great Khan comes himself. It's meant to be hard.
Paper Rally · pencil race
Hold the pencil. Let it slip. Stay on the road.
The pencil race from the back of the school notebook: the line the tip shoots is your car's move.
The cheap plastic pen is fast and wild, the classic risk pick. Hold too long and your thumb slips on its own.
Shoot from a coffee ring or an oil stain and the shot skids: its angle goes wild.
The fountain pen leaves an ink blot that makes everyone else skid.
Snake X 2048 · puzzle
Eat your own number. Watch the snake fold up.
Every segment is a number: eat your head's own number and the merges run on down the whole body.
A snake of 16-8-4-2 that eats a 2 collapses into a single 32. Six merges in one go is AVALANCHE.
Leave a number lying too long and it ripens: it doubles. Make a 512 and the snake can wear Coral.
A daily challenge on a board of a new shape every day: a ring, a diamond, an hourglass.
SWARMCORE · arena roguelike
Start as a virus. Finish by eating the sun.
Grow organs that fight for you, and evolve through eight stages, from a drop of blood to deep space.
As a titan, skyscrapers reach your knees. The army deploys everything it has. It will not be enough.
Fuse Tentacles and Bone Blades into the Meat Grinder: bladed tentacles that shred anything within reach.
The last boss is Helios Prime, the sun itself. Moons are snacks; this is the final course.
Tap Wars · tap-defence
Germs are coming for your heart. Literally.
Tap them off your artery before they get there, and train your immune system between runs.
Blobba swallows its friends to heal. You get nothing for the one it ate.
Every tenth wave, Scolex Rex: a tapeworm's head, hooks and all. It's based on the real thing.
Your weapons are your real immune system: Killer T cells, fever, macrophages and more.
Gravity Panic · arcade
Push the stick. Gravity follows. Your speed doesn't.
Gravity pulls wherever you point it, but you keep your momentum: ride it through endless space.
In VOID gravity pulls wherever you push the stick. Handy, since the mines hunt you.
In SPIKES the walls won't keep still: every gap slides up and down, and soon they open and close as you fly at them.
Spend your diamonds on eight orbs, up to the rainbow Prism and the Phoenix.
BAArrage · sheep shmup
A sheep. In a mech. Versus wolves.
Fly up through the sky with one thumb, and build a wild arsenal as you climb.
The Big Bad Wolf huffs and puffs: when his cheeks fill, a gust bends his bullets sideways.
The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing hides in a flock of decoy sheep. Only its magenta eyes give it away.113 cards to build with, 12 of them bending the rules, and 8 hidden merges to find.
