Gravity Panic Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 October 2026

In short: Gravity Panic collects no personal data itself. It works offline, has no accounts of its own, no ads and no analytics, and your progress stays on your phone (and in Android's own backup, if yours is on). If you use Google Play Games, the game sends it your scores and achievements for its leaderboards.

Who we are

Gravity Panic is made by Chaotic Phoenix, an independent game developer. You can reach us at contact@chaoticphoenix.com.

What the game keeps on your device

To remember your progress, the game saves a file on your device with:

None of this leaves your device, except your scores and achievements if you use Google Play Games (below), and Android's backup. If backup is on for your phone, Android keeps a copy of this file in your Google account, as it does for your other apps, so your progress comes back when you reinstall the game or move to a new phone. We never see that copy: Google keeps it under its privacy policy, and you can turn backup off in your phone's settings. Otherwise uninstalling the game deletes it all. RESET PROGRESS, in the game's Settings, deletes your progress at any time and keeps your settings.

Links and mail

In the game's Settings, PRIVACY POLICY opens this page, RATE THE GAME the game's page on Google Play, and CONTACT US your mail app, with a mail to us ready to write. The game sends nothing itself. The mail's subject and last lines give the game's version and your phone's model and Android version, to help us answer: you can change or delete them before you send it, and we use what you send us only to answer you.

Google Play Games: leaderboards and achievements

Gravity Panic's leaderboards and achievements are Google Play Games'. If you have a Play Games profile, Google Play Games signs you in as the game starts. If you don't, or you've signed out, the game asks you to sign in when you open LEADERBOARDS or ACHIEVEMENTS, and you can always say no. While you're signed in, the game sends Google Play Games:

LEADERBOARDS and ACHIEVEMENTS open Google Play Games' own screens, which show the players' Play Games names, avatars, ranks and scores. Other players see your Play Games name and avatar beside your scores, as your Play Games profile settings allow. Google Play Games' own software in the game also sends Google analytics and diagnostic data to keep its service working.

Google handles all of this under its privacy policy. In the Play Games app or your Google account you can choose who sees your profile, sign out, or delete your Play Games data. We see only the leaderboards and achievement statistics Google Play Games shows every developer, and never use them for advertising.

Vibration

The game asks Android for permission to vibrate your phone, for the tick you feel on each tap and the buzz when you crash. You can turn vibration off in the game's Settings. The permission reads nothing from your phone.

Children

Gravity Panic is meant for players aged 13 and over. It collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts handling data differently, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.

Your rights

Under data protection laws such as the GDPR you may ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. The game collects none itself, so we hold none. For what Google Play Games holds, see Google's links above. Write to contact@chaoticphoenix.com.
